Last of the summer roses?

Come summer the roses bushes are in full flush and bring so much enjoyment.

The season wears on and with a bit of pruning at the right time you will probably get a second flush.

Then they seem to die away but there usually are one or two bushes that like to surprise with a last minute flourish.

This small yellow rose is a perfect example of this happening.  There is one small bud on the bush to follow.

In another part of the garden I have seen one pink and one white bloom and then that is probably it until the seasons pass and we start all over again.

Good Morning to you from India, I adore roses and for me that is the fun of gardening.....I love the new growth which appears in Spring, the flowers which bloom in Summer, then as Autumn comes around, the flowers in this part of the world are fewer, but you know once winter passes, the cycle starts all over again.
In England we are heading towards Spring, so I am excited to see what has grown whilst I have been away.
Best Wishes
Daphne

Oh I am so jealous! We are still in winter here in the USA. But spring is on it's way. My daffodils are just starting to bloom. Your rose is lovely.

The last rose of summer is the most fragrant.

Do you ever press or dry any blooms? I have a pressed rose from a bouquet I received too many years ago to count. I enjoy revisiting the memories the bloom represents.
