We have a bush just outside my bathroom window and yesterday I spotted the large soft purple blooms and decided I would bring them indoors for show.
When I went to the bush I discovered the other colours on the same bush.
One bush, three different sets of blooms - how good is that?

How interesting. My sister has a hydrangea bush and the bloom heads often are as big as a soccer ball.
Oh-- so jealous. I had a hydrangea when I moved in, but it got shaded out. Planted two in another location, never amounted to anything and finally died out :( The flowers are so spectacular!
Lucky you! I love many sorts of hydrangea. I have a friend who gets both pinks and blues on the same plant! I have mostly white/green varieties, but for my daughter's wedding (2006) we found lovely subtle toned blooms that worked beautifully with her other choices.
I love hydrangeas. They are certainly the chameleons of the flower world. :) Best wishes, Tammy

bautiful! you must have allot of different ph in your soil there-I think that is what makes all those different colors-enjoy
What beautiful colors! And how lovely that they are all on the same bush. Sometimes they change colors as they dry, and sometimes the amount of acid in the soil can determine whether a hydrangea is pink or blue. Yours are lovely!
